Venue
Our conference venue is located in the heart of Palermo’s historic center, within walking distance of many major landmarks and attractions. The conference will take place in Sala delle capriate, Palazzo Steri, University of Palermo, Piazza Marina 60, Palermo, Italy.
The closest rail station to reach the conference venue is Palermo Stazione Centrale.
Palermo International Airport (PMO) officially known as Falcone Borsellino Airport (or Punta Raisi), is located about 35 kilometers northwest of Palermo city center.
When landing at the Airport there are several ways to get from Palermo Airport to the city center:
- Shuttle Bus, The Prestia e Comandè, bus service offers a direct connection between Palermo Airport and the city center. The bus stop is located outside the arrival areas. Purchase a ticket from the ticket booth, or directly from the driver, or by the mobile app. Buses depart every 30 minutes from 4:00 AM to midnight. The journey takes about 40-50 minutes and costs around €6.50.
- Train, The Trinacria Express train connects Palermo Airport to Palermo Centrale, the main train station in the city center.Follow the signs to the train station located at the basement level of the airport. Purchase a ticket from the ticket machines, or the ticket office, or online Trenitalia
Select From “Palermo Aeroporto” -> to “Palermo Centrale” by Trenitalia. Trains run every 30 minutes. The journey takes about 40 minutes and costs around €6,00. - Taxi, the journey takes about 35 minutes and costs approximately €50,00 (from Airport to Hotel or city center)
- Taxi sharing, the service cost is about €8-€10 per passenger and it is locate outside the arrival exit. You will get to the city centre (not to the hotel).
Airport of Trapani. Alternatively, there is also the Airport of Trapani. It is connected with sum buses to Palermo. It is located 100km away from Palermo.
